Clear Advice

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to key planning questions regarding your journey to Murchison Falls National Park.

Is this safari suitable for families with children?
Yes, Murchison Falls is highly suitable for families. Most properties have safe grounds and swimming pools. However, rhino tracking on foot has a minimum age requirement of 6 years old. Let us know if children are coming so we can adjust pacing.
What is the best time of year to visit Murchison Falls?
Uganda is an all-year safari destination. However, the dry season months of June to September, and December to February are optimal for game viewing as animals gather around water sources.
Can we customize this itinerary to include Gorilla or Chimpanzee tracking?
Absolutely. We can easily extend this tour to include chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest (within the park limits) or build a custom extension to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking.
What health precautions are required for Uganda travel?
Uganda requires a yellow fever vaccination certificate upon entry. Anti-malaria medication is strongly recommended. Speak directly to your local travel health clinic well in advance of departure.
