The Grand Safari Circuit

An active, highly immersive seven-day journey across Uganda's most diverse national parks.

I
Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Sanctuary (Rhino Tracking)

Tracking the Giants

Depart early morning from Kampala, heading north toward the historic Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Join a trained conservation ranger for an on-foot walking trek to encounter majestic southern white rhinos. After a delicious lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and watch the sunset over the grasslands as you enter.

II
Day 2: Murchison Falls NP — Dawn Game Drive & Sunset Falls Boat Safari

The Nile and Savannah

Set out on a dawn game drive across the northern savannah, looking for lions, leopards, massive herds of elephants, Rothschild giraffes, and buffaloes. In the afternoon, board our private boat cruise up the River Nile, sailing right to the thundering base of Murchison Falls where the river squeezes through a 7-meter gorge.

III
Day 3: Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest — Scenic Crater Lake Passage

The Primate Capital Shift

Enjoy a scenic, full-day road journey southwards, passing local tea plantations, traditional villages, and the dramatic slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains. Arrive at the edge of Kibale Forest, the ultimate primate capital of East Africa, for a peaceful evening and dinner.

IV
Day 4: Kibale Forest Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

In the Canopy

Track wild chimpanzee communities through the ancient high-canopy of Kibale Forest. Observe their complex social communication, feeding habits, and playful displays. In the afternoon, walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a beautiful community-run project rich in rare bird species and primates.

V
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth NP — Kazinga Channel Sunset Cruise

The Waterways

Drive south past the equator to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon, embark on a famous boat safari on the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lakes Edward and George, offering incredible views of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and elephant herds drinking along the shore.

VI
Day 6: Ishasha Sector Tree-Climbing Lions to Lake Mburo NP

Tree-Climbing Lions

Explore the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, famous for its unique tree-climbing lions resting in giant fig trees. After spotting these remarkable cats, continue your journey eastwards to Lake Mburo National Park, checking in for a relaxing bush dinner.

VII
Day 7: Lake Mburo Walking Safari & Return to Kampala

On Foot with Herds

Experience a guided walking safari, walking directly next to herds of zebras, impalas, and buffaloes feeding in the cool morning mist. After breakfast, exit the park and drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, stopping at the Equator crossing for photos and lunch.
